Who’s Not Cooking on Thanksgiving?

Me!  For the first time in 37 years of marriage, I am going out to dinner instead of cooking at home on Thanksgiving.  I have mixed emotions about this.  I feel guilty on one side and elated on the other.  Family tradition is tugging at me saying but what about us?  You are going to break the chain!  The catholic in me is coming out big time with the guilt.  But my children are grown and need to be making their own traditions now, right?  I’m not winning here am I?  Well, maybe with Thanksgiving being on Thursday, I’ll do another family turkey day over the weekend with not quite so much of the fuss but so all can get together and have turkey left over for wonderful turkey sandwiches after.  I should just become a vegetarian and then I wouldn’t have to worry about cooking a turkey at all!   Oh well, hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!

Awesome comment!!! I don’t cook, but I do clean up the mess afterwards! Hmmm, perhaps we should order out this year!! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
