Food Does Matter

There is nothing like a good documentary if you walk away learning from it.  In watching the four documentaries you see here, I learned something.  Not only did I learn something, but I benefited from what I learned.

I was at a point where I was very overweight and experiencing a lot of different types of body pain because of it.  My GP had sent me to a pain specialist for my leg pains.  This person proceeded to shoot electrical shocks all up and down my legs and then stick me with a sharp instrument all over.  And at the end of that torment stated she couldn’t find any reason for my pain!!!  I walked out of that building and just screamed in the parking lot.

The next day, a coworker told me about the four documentaries you see here.  He urged me to watch them as he felt they could help me.  And they did.  They opened up my eyes for the first time  to the importance of what we eat.  They showed me how most of the illnesses and diseases we suffer from can be cured just by what we put in our mouths!  They informed me of what is being put in processed food and what is being sprayed on our fruits and vegetables and what that does to our bodies.  They showed me the cruelty to the animals we use to have food on our tables.  And if you haven’t heard about GMO’s, it will tell you about the genetically modified organism’s being used and how evil Monsanto is.

To date, my leg pains are gone, my gum pain I was experiencing is gone, I lost 35 pounds and my cholesterol levels are excellent.  With my fruit smoothies I have each morning consisting of bananas, blueberries, strawberries, kiwis, kefir, and flaxseed came a rejuvenated memory.  Although trying to buy organic can be expensive, more and more it is becoming the norm and prices are getting better.

I have also increased the amount of vitamins I take.  I now take 20,000 mg of D3 and have upped my Vitamin C to a mega dose.  I haven’t been sick in a really long time.

    Ok, this is my second time TODAY seeing info about FORKS OVER KNIVES. I think that means…I need to pay attention!! I have also been enjoying the simplicity of fruit smoothies. I thought I needed to ‘chew’ something to feel like I’ve ‘eaten’. Nope. Not any more. And I agree buying organic can be expensive, but just taking time to search and make better choices makes a difference also. Yep, FOOD DOES MATTER!

    these are of the best, in my opinion! if i may recommend – watch “tapped” about water and also “future of food” – both of which are on netflix i believe.
